About Sól
Sól is a weather app designed for photographers. It shows the light (golden hour, civil twilight, blue hour, nautical and astronomical twilight), weather, fog and tides in a single scrollable timeline, with the Sun and Moon on a 3D map that knows when they pass behind the terrain.
Forecasts combine several sources (Apple Weather, Open-Meteo, Stormglass and WorldTides) and appear simply, for people who don't want to fuss with charts, tables and fiddly controls. For those who do, the details are a tap away. Alerts tell you when the conditions you want line up at your spots.
Fog prediction, tides and alerts are part of Sól Pro, a monthly or yearly subscription. Everything else in Sól is free.

- Widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen: the next golden or blue hour at a spot, when the ridge takes the Sun or gives it back, tonight and the next dawn side by side, a week of dawns and dusks, and on iOS 27 the Light Page.
- Fog that knows the terrain, from summits in cloud to valley floors and the coast, calibrated against real fog reports so 30% means fog about three times in ten.
- Made for iPhone Duo: Sól runs edge to edge on both displays and rearranges itself around the fold.
- Alerts that keep up: if the forecast changes and the conditions no longer line up, the alert is withdrawn.
